2007 Spring Barrel Tasting April 27, 28, 29.

This is by far our most popular event of the year. The Tucker Family is celebrating its Twenty Five year Anniversary in 2007. Come celebrate with us this year. Many specials are available during the month of April. During the Spring Barrel Tasting we are honored to have Anthony's Homeport Restaurants here serving up a Barbecue delight of grilled Salmon, Oysters, Prawns and Shrimp. Lunch will be served all day Saturday & Sunday. In the picnic area, we have the 2007 Washington State Cheese Festival, sponsored by the Yakima Valley Dairy Women. Taste the pride of Washington in a variety of different cheeses. Cheese and wine have always been an excellent combination. Come taste for yourself and match your favorite wine with a speciality flavor of cheese in a tent full of goodies and delectables. A large assortment of Washington Cheese is available to taste with all of the Tucker wines. Cougar Gold (Yum) is the most popular at this event. This year's entertainment is Rudy Kezele. For those of you who have not heard Rudy play, prepare yourself for a very enjoyable experience. Rudy plays the accordion and promises to roll out the barrel and guarantees to get your toe a-tapping with music from pop to polka. Anyone for a chicken dance?

Relax and enjoy the day in our picnic area adjacent to the winery. Cold wines will be available.

Wine

Indian Summer, Gewurztraminer and Chardonnay will compliment the great seafood. Muscat Canelli with cheese and fruit is so nice for sipping in the vineyard. For a wonderful light red try the Gamay Beaujolais. Our Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Lemberger offers a bit more character. They are excellent with red meats and tomato pastas. We offer our best wine prices of the year. Thank you for your support!

Going Vertical September 1st through 30th

Taste a vertical of Cabernet Sauvignon from the Tucker Estate vineyard. A special gift pack was created for this month long event. Stop by and see what going vertical is all about.

New Releases

Gewurztraminer (yearly)

The Tucker flagship. Our Gewurztraminer focuses more on the fruit side of the grape but still has plenty of spiciness to balance the taste.

Indian Summer (yearly)

One of only a few Pinot Rose's in the state. Estate Pinot Noir and other Yakima Valley Pinot's produce an exceptional taste that is packed with body and character.

Syrah Port (yearly)

A new release for us at Tucker's. Rich complex flavors of berry and cherry make this wine a must to try. A very sweet dessert wine with lots of fruit.

Muscat Canelli (yearly)

Very fragrant with a nice touch of sweetness. The pronounced Muscat character and beautiful balance of this wine combine to make it quite special. Sip or serve with fruits or cheesecake.

Gamay Beaujolais (yearly)

This wine is a light style of Pinot Noir. It has no oak aging and has light berry flavors with softer tannins than most red wines, served chilled.

Special Prices

The best prices throughout the year are available at the spring barrel tasting. It is our one chance to say thank you to all our special friends and all the case-buyers who have supported us throughout the years. If you are unable to attend this year, we are planning to have a pre-barrel tasting the weekend before and a post-barrel the weekend after. You can taste the barrel sample and take advantage of the specials for all of April.
