Tucker Gourmet Foods

Providing good food is the Tucker family way of life. Farming in the Yakima Valley since Melvin and Vera Tucker settled here back in 1929. Four years later they planted some of the first wine grapes in the area. By 1949, son Dean expanded the farm with sugar beets and other vegetables, gradually adding apple, peach, pear, and cherry orchards.

Before long, the Tucker name earned a reputation for quality and people started driving to the Tucker home to buy whatever was in season. In 1979, to make it easier for our customers, we built the Tucker Fruit and Produce Market near Highway 12.

We also planted wine grapes again, and in 1981 built Tucker Cellars Winery next to the market. Now the third generation of Tuckers is running the business: Randy & Debbie Tucker now own the winery and Randy is winemaker for the winery as well. The gourmet food line, now boasts 40 different items under the Tucker label. Food products include: Bourbon Peppercorn Steak Slather, a complete line of salad dressings, many hot sauces, seafood sauces and a line of pasta sauces. We love our work, and we’re proud to be the only ones to answer for Tucker products.

White Cloud Popcorn

Pure, bright white—no hulls!—with a nutty flavor and remarkably crisp texture. When we first grew some White Cloud and popped samples for our customers, it drew rave reviews. Pretty soon we were selling tons of popcorn out of the front door. Now Tucker White Cloud is readily available in a 1-lb.jar, 7-lb. jug and 50# bags.

Pickled Spiced Beans

Hot and heady! Hand-packed, these Blue Lake Pole Beans straight off the stalk, then spice them with garlic and half a homegrown red chili pepper. After a few hours in the fridge they taste like cold green fire. 12 oz jar.

Pickled Asparagus Spears

Two luscious sensations combined: the delicate, grassy flavor of spring asparagus just off the fields, and the crunch you expect from a pickle. Particularly fine when chilled. Hand-packed and expertly accented with peppercorns and garlic. 12 oz. jar.

Spiced Pickled Carrots

Fresh, tender carrots, sliced to absorb the piquant flavors of garlic and red peppers. A naturally sweet, pretty pickle, with just enough bite to keep life interesting. Brightens up a picnic. Hand-packed, of course. 12 oz. jar.

Tucker Winery Gift Shop

Our Fruit and Produce Market was part of our family business. We have opened up the wine country gift center where the produce market used to be. Northwest favorite foods as well as gift ideas for the entire family.

By October, the wine grape harvest is in full swing, many people travel to the winery to help or get some hands on experience during the harvest.
